Designing the 82 mm mortar carried by the mortar utility terrain vehicle allowed for:

The mortar is designed for destruction of enemy fighters and firing power.
Fragmentation, illumination and smoke mines are used for firing.
2B24 mortar due to the enhanced mine performance efficiency, high firing rate, small weight and capability to be quickly disassembled into components allows for efficient and timely performance of enemy fighters and firing power destruction tasks.
The mortar is transported in the fixed box by any transportation vehicle or disassembled in special-purpose attachments (packs) by the crew. In the travel position the mortar is disassembled and carried or transported with three 17, 13.8 and 16 kg packs.
The mortar with up to 120 mine ammunition, SPTA and the crew may be transported by the 4x4 wheel arrangement vehicle with 500 kg and more capacity. |
