 PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKSKAMAZ-53949 Taifun-K series motor vehicle is designed for performance of tasks related to comprehensive support of the combined and special-purpose units, inclusive of the peace-keeping formations under different environment conditions across all types of motor roads and locality.
It may be used for transportation of the personnel and troop cargoes, and as the base chassis for installation of different systems and weapons. | SPECIFIC FEATURES
Taifun-K is capable to jump over up to 1.75 m fords unprepared, climb up to 30 degree hills. KAMAZ-53949 ensures high-performance anti-mine and anti-ballistic protection.
The high ballistic protection level is ensured due to the sandwich design made of the inside standard armor steel and outside new generation ceramic armor.
Vehicle protection is enhanced due to anti-fragmentation armid protection on the inside hull surfaces and multiple fire-extinguishing system.
Mine vehicle resistance is achieved due to the spaced hull design with energy-absorbing pads.
Special seats along with the other design features decrease adverse impacts upon the crew and assault in case of 6 kg TNT equivalent detonation under any wheel and at any place under the vehicle bottom.
Taifun-K may accommodate the remotely controlled weapon stations and other systems ensuring performance of the special-purpose tasks. |
