The armored carrier has the capability of 17-person crew transportation.
 
  • The control compartment accommodates the driver in front along the vehicle axis, the assault member and the commander assistant- on the left and right side, as appropriate, with capabilities to fire with the stand-alone machine guns.
  • The crew in the assault compartment is arranged along the side and motor partition. 
  • The assault compartment front accommodates the vehicle commander and the assault member with his back to the vehicle commander.

PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS

BT-3F amphibian armored carrier is based upon BMP-3F combat vehicle and is designed for transportation of marine infantry, coastal guard and ground troops, for fire support of the dismounted assault in  the process of any mission.
 
The armored carrier roof accommodates two-planed stabilized remotely controlled weapon station with 12.7 mm machine gun. 
 
To observe the terrain and to guide, the weapon station is equipped with the tele-infra-red sight with the laser range finder. The station is equipped with the fault detection system and cartridge meter with ammunition indication.
