PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS

BMP-3 is multifunctional combat vehicle which combines the best ofan infantry fighting vehicle, tank destroyer, fire support vehicle and amphibious personnel carrier.

The armament of the BMP-3 IFV includes a 100 mm cannon-missile laucher, 30 mm automatic cannon and 7.62 mm machine gun integrated in a weapon station, as well as two 7.62 mm hull machine guns.

Measures for enhancement of BMP-3F floating capability were taken.

BMP-3F is capable to drop from the ship in deep water and be back, to speed afloat at 3-point heaving, to fire at 2-point heaving.
