The integrated system includes
  • the armament (a missile in the sealed transportation and launch container and a launcher); 
  • maintenance equipment to test the operating capability of the missiles and launchers;
  • the night sight allowing for detection of the air-borne targets at night conditions; 
  • training equipment.

 

PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS

Igla-S PAAMIS is designed for hitting all types of aircraft and helicopters, small-side air-borne targets of cruise missile type day-and-night at their visual on-head and pursuit range under the conditions of natural background and induced thermal jamming.

 

The crew consists of one person, integrated system remote operation capability is implemented. Combat operation process automation is provided, the operator’s task is aiming and target tracking.
 
Missile guidance system is the homing. Complete passive operation of the integrated system ensures high security and survivability at the battlefield.
 
The integrated system armament may be completed with the “friend or foe” interrogator and night sight upon the client’s request.
 
Capability of missile arrangement on Dzhigit support and launch units and all-purpose launch modules on different carriers (ground, air-borne and water-borne) is ensured.
