SPECIFIC FEATURES
The AAMIS is a heavy S-125 Pechora AAMIS modification, the following performance specifications are improved:
-
hitting ranges and target hitting probability are increased;
-
AAMIS survivability under electronic jamming and fire suppression conditions due to new anti-jam facilities, EMI system and new optic-electronic warning system;
-
AAMIS mobility is enhanced due to installation of the major system (UNV control equipment shelter, UNK antenna station, PU launcher) facilities on the vehicle chassis and reduction of AAMIS fire-to-travel and back change-over time;
-
system performance reliability is enhanced due to transition of the major hardware portion to the hardware base;
-
capabilities related to provision with spare parts throughout the long time are improved.
PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS
Pechora-2M anti-aircraft missile integrated system is designed for air defense of military, administrative and industrial facilities against low-altitude aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, inclusive of those made with Stealth-technology under light and heavy jamming conditions.
The major AAMIS weapons include the antenna guidance station, control cabin and up to 8 self-propelled launchers.
Targets for AAMIS firing are selected in accordance with external warning RS data (generally, from modified P-18 RS).
Missile control by radio-command method.
To enhance AAMIS survivability under conditions of enemy anti-radar missiles, the simulation transmitters as part of the special-purpose EMI system (EMIS) are provided.
