Pecheneg 7.62-mm machine gun is designed for hitting the enemy fighters, firing power and air-borne targets.

 

The complete 7.62-mm rifle cartridge range is used for firing with the machine gun. Cartridges are fed to the machine-gun feeder while firing from the cartridge box with the metal belt. Available gas regulator ensures reliable machine gun automation control performance under different operation conditions.

 

The machine gun has the automation control flow chart similar to PKM machine gun and the high standardization level. The machine gun design uses new technical solutions versus the PKM machine gun allowing for enhancement of bore cooling efficiency and exclusion of the standby bore from Pecheneg machine gun package.

 

Increased bore stiffness, decreased heat straining, lower air heat flow effect due to the heated bore allowed for targeting improvement and firing precision increase.

 

The machine gun is equipped with the adjustable open sight with side correction mechanism and standard side bar for fastening different telescope or electronic sights. The bipod, tripod mount or other machine-gun units may be used for firing.
